Region A Convention/Rally This year, the Region A Convention/Rally is being held at the Lake Point Lodge in Eufaula, Alabama. Having visited this facility last December, I can tell you that it has been remodeled and in an absolutely wonderful site for this event. Plus, as the heat of the summer is beginning to retreat, what a great opportunity to support the Region and catch up with all sorts of friends from throughout the Region.

Supporting Phillip & Terri Kozlowski As is always the case, one big feature of the Region Convention/ Rally is the selection of our new Region A Couple of the Year. Phillip and Terri Kozlowski, our 2010 Georgia District Couple, have represented our District admirably throughout this year and have an excellent chance to be selected as our next Region Couple. From experience, Dee and I can tell you how special it is to see the audience filled with supporters from our District. Please consider helping make this event extra special for Phillip and Terri by coming and cheering them on.

Wind Down 2010

As most of you know, Wind Down is our final event of the calendar year. It is also an event where your District Team takes the opportunity to say THANK YOU! One of the ways we do this is by providing and serving you a meal at no charge. Sorry, we aren’t serving Filet Migon… in fact, the menu is still under consideration. But, it will be tasty… and will be served with love and appreciation. So, when and where you ask: We are in final negotiations with a new location. With any luck, we will be able to announce the location within a week. As far as the date; that too depends on the location. At this point, we are hopeful that it will be Saturday, November 6. In addition to the meal, remember that we will also select our 2011 Georgia District Couple of the Year at Wind Down. We hope you will come to support all the fine Georgia couples involved. Lastly, we will retire our 2010 Georgia Traveler’s Plaque and issue a new 2011 plaque; which will begin it’s journey in January. We sure hope you will come to Wind Down and allow us to say Thank You!
