District Rally - A Rally of Mythological Proportions!
Georgia is planning a new and fun Chapter Challenge
event for the GA Wing Fling in June - a Chariot Race!
Yes, that's right, of the Ben Hur variety. Only
these chariots will be too small to ride in.

chapter - then feel free to recruit other members!
Get your Chariots ready - for the race will soon begin!
Need
ideas for the upcoming Georgia Rally - how about an
olympic theme, what about mythological characters?
Have you thought about combining the regions, and going
with lettuce on your head and being a Caesar Salad?
And what about those Gladiators? Remember the
famous Toga Party at Animal House - how about a college
frat? And of course, don't forget that this rally
takes place in Athens, GA - the home of the infamous
BullDogs! The possibilities are endless - let
loose your creative side, and come out to our fun-filled
GA Rally - You'll be glad you did!

Georgia offers chapters a chance to show
off their colors with the new Chapter Shirt Competition.
Judging covers areas such as designations, comfort
levels, and how well they match!

Membership Enhancement Newsletter
Award
The Membership
Enhancement Division is always looking for ways to honor
our Members while having “FUN”. All Chapters have a
monthly newsletter that they work hard on. These
newsletters provide Chapter participants information and
promote the FUN the Chapter is having. With this in
mind, we in the Membership Enhancement Division are
offering an opportunity to not only share your
newsletters with your Chapter, but with the whole
organization by having a Membership Enhancement Division
Chapter Newsletter Award.
This guide establishes procedures for the Membership
Enhancement Division to recognize the time, hard work
and information GWRRA Chapters are putting out to
Chapter participants via a Chapter Newsletter.

GA Website Contest
The
District of Georgia encourages all chapters to keep the
communication flowing with their members. In
recognition of the time, effort and expense put forward
by its chapters in the development and maintenance of
their websites, Georgia offers its chapters the
opportunity for formal recognition of their sites.
All GA Chapters are entered automatically in the
contest, the winner will be announced at the
2008 GA District Rally.

Georgia Chapter E2 Named
Chapter of the Year!
The Chapter Of the Year Award and
Honorable Mention Awards were created to recognize the
extraordinary efforts by Chapters that actively
participate in a variety of activities that promote fun
and growth in their Chapters.
At first glance, the criteria seems a
little overwhelming, but after learning the criteria for
submitting and getting an understanding of the scoring
process, it is really very simple. Two outstanding
Chapters provided submissions for the program and
Chapter E-2 of Savannah came out the victor.
Congratulations to Chapter Directors Roy and Irene
Bridges, their staff and members of Chapter E-2.
Honorable Mention goes to Bob and Bonnie McCroskey,
Chapter Directors and the staff and members of Chapter A
in McDonough. We thank these outstanding Chapters for
their contributions to the success of GWRRA in Georgia.
This year, only two Chapters have submitted the
required ride/event plan for 2008 by the deadline of 29
February to qualify for competition in the program. If
you
are interested in getting in on the competition, check
out the Georgia District web page at
http://www.gwrra-ga.com or contact the Membership
Enhancement Coordinators,
Sid and Donna Cohen.
We will accept emailed ride/event schedules until 29
February. |
