Phillip and Terri Kozlowski
Georgia's 2010 District Couple of the Year

Phillip and Terri have been married for 11 years. Phillip has an 18 year old son who will be shipping off to Camp Sill for basic training in February and a daughter 24 years old, with 3 grandsons in California. Terri's son, Joshua is 18 years old and a senior in high school.

Phillip is a mechanic in every sense of the word. If it is broken he can fix it. He started his career in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic on F-15 and F-16 fighter jets. When he left the Air Force after 9 ½ years, he became an aircraft mechanic for Delta Airlines. After 9/11 when airlines were having issues he took a furlough and started working for Thomas Concrete as a mechanic. Throughout his career he as been an instructor; he has taught others how to fix mechanical malfunctions. One of Phillip's passions has been computers. His first computer was a Commodore Vic 20 (long, long ago) and he was hooked. He had his own computer business for awhile where he built computers. He has developed websites and has done some graphic design work. Another one of Phillip's passions is his bass guitar. He has been playing for over 20 years.

Terri has a unique ability to organize anything she gets involved. She has been an executive assistant for North American Medical for the last 4 years. She always has a camera with her, which means you may see yourself in the paper, on the website or in the Chapter newsletter. Which by the way, she has been editor for every organization she has been involved. Through this effort of the organization being in the public's eye, it helps with recruiting and retention for membership. That is where the new blood comes from and that is how a group continues.

Phillip's first motorcycle was a 1975 Honda CB 500 when he was 18 years old. Their first Goldwing was a burgundy 1985 GL1200 which they road all around Indiana. In June 2008 they picked up their current ride, a glacial white 1997 GL1500. Two weeks later they visited Georgia Chapter D, joined GWRRA and became the Chapter Directors...all in the same day. Since we joined we have advanced to Level III in the Rider Ed program, attended Horizons, Chapter Skills, Intermediate Skills, and Advances Skills Training courses and recently became Certified Leadership Trainers.

If you haven't seen us you probably have heard us at different events around the Region. Terri may look like she is quiet and demure ...but watch out...all those noise makers, flinging critters and balloon rockets she provides for us big kids to play with at different events. The last 16 months have been a whirl wind of fun activities...training...and meeting great new Gold Wing friends.
